After more than 30 years
as a Federal civil servant, I'm finally doing what I've always wanted
to do - living in the woods and writing books. I've also had the
good fortune to be hired by some publishing houses to edit for them,
so when I'm not writing my own novels or short stories, I have the
pleasure of working with other authors on theirs.
I spent my childhood on our family farm in northwestern Minnesota.
I attended a one-room country schoolhouse, so that should give you
some idea of just how old I am.
When you check out the
pictures in the photo gallery here, you'll see that I'm still a
farm girl at heart. One of my favorite ways to spend time is tending
my yard and gardens. I'm also fond of feeding (and watching) the
birds, deer, and other wildlife that make living in the foothills
of the mountains so wonderful.
When I'm not writing or editing, I enjoy spending time with my cats
and dogs, teaching myself to play the piano, and going for long
walks in the woods.
In August of 2008, an unexpected bonus came my way when the women
who run Blue Feather Books, Ltd. invited me to join the management
team there. I've had a wonderful time learning about the fascinating
world of publishing from a whole new perspective.
Thank you for visiting my web page. I hope you'll check back often
to see what's new and to let me know if you have comments or suggestions
about my books.
Please visit Blue
Feather Books and browse that site for terrific books
by a variety of authors. Have a great day - and remember: Read all
you want; I'll write more.
